If you’re Hong Kong Island-side and looking for a cooling dip, dive into the sparkling new pool at Island Shangri-La with a one-day hotel pool pass.
The Admiralty-based hotel has just finished a complete refurbishment of its pool and wellness spa and there’s also a smashin’ splashin’ kids’ water park for littlies.
The pool pass for full-day access includes the pool, changing room and sauna. It’s available to adults and children and can be booked both on weekdays and weekends, although weekend reservations are charged at an elevated rate.
A one-day pool pass at Island Shangri-La on weekdays costs HK$900 per adult, or HK$350 per child aged two to 16 years; HK$1,100 per person on weekends, or HK$450 per child; pool access is from 6am to 10pm. Advance booking is required.

Hanging out on Hong Kong Island’s southside? Head to Le Meridien in Cyberport for some great pool packages. The hotel’s outdoor pool enjoys ocean views and offers a selection of day passes with full access to the pool deck and the gym.
The regular pass entitles users to full-day access to the pool and gym plus 20% off the pool menu. This summer the hotel is also offering a couple of special packages; the ‘Au Soleil To-Go’ pass includes full-day access to the pool and gym, a glass of rose and a snack and a 20% discount on the pool menu. And the ‘Au Soleil Cabana’ pass entitles two adults and up to two children to enjoy full access to the pool and gym, plus a complimentary bottle of rose wine, a choice of three snacks and a 20% discount off the pool menu.
The regular pass costs HK$330 per adult or child over 13 years on weekdays, or HK$550 on weekends and public holidays. A child pass (three to 12 years) costs HK$220 on weekdays or HK$330 on weekends and public holidays. The Au Soleil To-Go package costs HK$520 per person (including children over 13 years) on weekdays or HK$730 on weekends and public holidays, and Au Soleil Cabana costs HK$1,700 for two adults and up to two children.

The Mira Hong Kong is offering respite from the heat right in the bustling heart of Tsim Sha Tsui.
Visitors can take advantage of the luxury hotel’s MiraSpa Day Pass which includes access to wellness facilities such as the heat experience zone with steam, sauna, jacuzzi, aromatherapy showers and heated waterbed flotation lounge.

The Ritz-Carlton pool is indoors so this is a great option if the weather is a little inclement or you want to escape the heat. The mirrored ceiling and floor-to-ceiling glass windows make this a swim to remember.
A pool pass also includes adult access to the hotel’s fitness centre.

Plunge into the sparkling infinity pool or lie-back on your lounger and enjoy the sea views as the kids take-on the kids’ lagoon with tunnels, water slides and more.
The Oceanfront Escape Day Pass costs HK$600 per adult and HK$300 per child for four hours of full pool access, the pool is open from 7am to 10pm.

The Kerry offers a variety of passes but all come with lunch and reserved seating on the Sun Deck. Guests can opt for champagne and massage options.
A pass also includes entry to the gym, steam room and jacuzzi.
Kids under 12 years get to enter the pool deck at half-prices and under threes are free-of-charge.
Also worth bearing in mind is this pool is heated during the winter months.
The Kerry pool pass with access to gym, sauna and steam room costs HK$750, half-price for under 12s, the pool opens from 7am to 8pm.

The 50m tropical pool at Grand Hyatt is one of the prettiest in Hong Kong and enjoys great views over Victoria Harbour.
As well as its regular Plateau Spa Fitness Pass, Grand Hyatt is also offering a Plateau Summer Retreat package with access to fitness centre and the outdoor pool plus one 90-minute spa treatment at discounted rates.
Note that the fitness centre is open to adults aged 18 years and over and children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult on the pool deck.
Once purchased, a Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool Day Pass is valid for 90 days.
The Plateau Day Pass costs HK$450 per person (reduced from HK$600) including the cost of a 90-minute treatment. A regular Plateau Spa Fitness pass costs HK$600 per person and HK$350 per child on weekdays, or HK$800 per adults and HK$400 per child on weekends and public holidays.

Also in Admiralty, JW Marriott is offering a weekday pool pass that includes gym entrance as well as access to the outdoor pool. Note that the gym is open to adults aged 18 years and over and children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult on the pool deck.
Once purchased, a Fitness Centre and Swimming Pool Day Pass is valid for 90 days. The day pass is not valid for weekend or public holiday use.

Club Siena, Discovery Bay
Blue sky days in Discovery Bay
Make a day of it and catch a ferry to Discovery Bay where Club Siena has a great value pool pass.
Club membership is open to residents of Discovery Bay, but visitors can buy a day pass and enjoy access to the stunning outdoor pool with views of the bay. It also includes access to the indoor playroom.
There’s a HK$90 entrance fee to the club for non-members, plus HK110 per person for pool access on weekdays, or HK$170 per person on weekends and public holidays.
