Christmas fun at Singapore's Changi airport

Avatar: The Way of Water and an illuminated festive tunnel usher in the Christmas season at Changi airport.

Visit the home of the Na'vi people in terminal three.

Singapore’s Changi airport is hosting a dramatic Avatar: The Way of Water installation this holiday season to celebrate the release of the movie in city cinemas this month.

The terminal three departure hall will be home to a seven-metre replica of the home of the water-dwelling Na’vi characters from the film. Visitors are free to explore the installation and enjoy the accompanying sound and light shows.

And after visiting the Na'vi, take a piece of Pandora home with you by stopping at the Avatar: The Way of Water pop-up shop located next to the Marui Pod. Enter the store through a luminescent tunnel before shopping from an array of Avatar toys, figurines and glow-in-the-dark tops.

The watery theme continues at Jewel. The Canopy Park on the top level will be lighting up each night, glowing blue, pink and purple to imitate an ocean with bioluminescent light displays. And a cave tunnel will be lit with water effect projections imitating an underwater experience, with dolphins, seals and manta rays on screens using motion trigger responses. The attractions run until January 2, 2023.

Glowing gingerbread men and levitating jellyfish light the way at terminal two.

And from now until January 31, 2023, visitors to the Changi Airport Connector can enjoy Dino Glow, Changi's longest-ever festive light up. The installation is inspired by the colours and bioluminescence of Avatar: The Way of Water, with a trail of more than 1,000 levitating jellyfish beneath the terminal two skytrain tracks. In addition, there are 3,600 mushrooms and 4,000 dandelions, glowing gingerbread men and dazzling dinosaurs lighting up the arches of the 40m tunnel.
