The Emirates Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The dramatic Emirates Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai is packed with interactive, multi-sensory installations uncovering the importance of science and technology in the next 50 years of air travel.
The four-storey pavilion is modelled around an aircraft’s wing and has been sustainably made from local, reusable and recyclable materials, with eco-design solutions to minimise energy and water use.
On arrival, visitors collect a ‘seed’ which will capture their visit and can be played back at the end of the visit.
Visitors are led through the science of flight, with holographic models demonstrating how an aircraft flies, explaining the role of lift, thrust, gravity and drag.
At the Cleaner Skies installation, visitors can take part in a quiz about the aviation technologies being developed to tackle issues such as sustainability and population growth.
And following a visit to the Future Lab to view the animations exploring the future of fuel technology, visitors will be well equipped to design their own aircraft, run it through a flight simulator and receive feedback.
Virtual Reality headsets offer the chance to explore aircraft cabins of the future and Emirates has also visualised the airport of the future, with biometrics, data analytics and smart technology transforming the travel experience.
At the end of the visit, guests can upload their ‘seed’ to view a personalised, 360 degree movie with three dimensional graphics of the information captured during their tour.
And there’s an Emirates café and merchandise store to finish an action-packed tour.
The pavilion is located in the Opportunity District and is open every day from 10am to 10pm. Bookings can be made online.
