Hilton has announced it will be opening flagship property Hilton Singapore Orchard in the new year.

The refurbished building is slated to launch as a Hilton flagship property in January 2022; bookings will be taken from this time.

The property is being converted from the current Mandarin Orchard Singapore and is located in Singapore's downtown Orchard Road shopping district.

Hilton is bullish about the hotel’s future given Singapore government’s positive recent comments regarding pandemic recovery.

“As a hub and key city destination for business and leisure travellers, we are optimistic about the growth potential of Singapore’s hospitality scene as recovery begins and travel resumes over the long-term,” said Paul Hutton, Hilton’s operations vice president for Southeast Asia. “We are delighted to start a brand new year with the launch of a significant addition to our regional portfolio.”

The hotel is a half-hour drive from Singapore Changi Airport and is at the heart of one of Singapore’s busiest dining and shopping scenes.

With 1,080 rooms, it will also be one of the largest hotels in Singapore with a variety of room categories, including family-friendly connecting rooms.

Further amenities include two 24-hour fitness centres, an outdoor pool, an executive lounge and direct access to a four-storey shopping mall.

Food and beverage offerings will include five dining concepts and the award-winning Chatterbox, a two-Michelin-starred Shisen Hanten restaurant, as well as a specialty restaurant and lobby lounge and bar.

“Hilton Singapore Orchard will be one of the most anticipated hotels to open in 2022,” said general manager Cedric Nubul. “The hotel is set to be a destination of choice for business and leisure travellers, as well as those residing here.”
