Kaliwatu Residences - Dusit Collection is opening in Labuan Bajo
Thai hotel development group Dusit International has signed a hotel management agreement to manage Kaliwatu Residences - Dusit Collection in Labuan Bajo on Flores island in Indonesia.
Flores island is one of the fastest growing tourism destinations in the country. The area is recognised for its unique wildlife, including the infamous Komodo Dragon, and its pristine marine environment place it as one of the world’s top dive destinations. The new property is a stepping off point for the region’s famous pink beaches, underground caves, cascading waterfalls and stunning hiking trails.
The property is located on the western tip of Flores and just ten minutes from Komodo International Airport and the town of Badjo, the gateway to Komodo National Park.
The resort is to be developed in phases with full completion currently slated for spring 2028. The property will feature 63 villas with plunge pools, 194 apartments and a clubhouse with restaurant, bars, shops, a gym, a spa and a rooftop pool.
Labuan Bajo has been designated one of Indonesia’s five ‘super priority’ destinations and with an aim of attracting 1.5 million tourists annually. Infrastructure improvements include recent upgrades to Komodo International Airport and direct flights from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore (launching in March) and Perth (coming soon).
Kaliwatu Residences - Dusit Collection joins two other Dusit Collection properties currently in development. Layan Verde in Phuket opens in 2027 and Plaza De Zamboanga - Dusit Collection, Philippines will be ready to welcome guests later this year.
