Four Seasons Hong Kong reveals renovation plans

A new bar and lobby cafe are incoming at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong.

Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong has revealed details of two new food and beverage outlets and a revamp.

The Central-located hotel is starting renovations in October which are due to be completed by spring 2021. They include redesigned rooms and suites, an updated arrival process in the lobby, a new cocktail bar and a new lobby cafe.

The room redesign will be led by Hong Kong’s Remedios Studio; previous design credits in Asia include Landmark Mandarin Oriental and Morpheus Macau.

The lobby, bar and lobby cafe projects will be led by international interior design and architecture studio AB Concept. The hotel’s popular Blue Bar will be replaced with a brand new offering with Lorenzo Antinori, beverage manager of Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, charged with shaking up the bar menu.

The new lobby cafe will be located adjacent to the bar and nestled around the spiral staircase in the lobby area. It’s anticipated to be a “chic dining venue by day and an easy drinks destination by evening.” The area will incorporate a crystal screen to provide privacy from the rest of the lobby.

“We are excited to soon unveil a new stay experience that will reinforce the hotel’s position since its debut in Hong Kong in 2005,” said Bill Taylor, regional vice president and general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong. “We are creating a destination where guests can revel in the rich blend of cultures and tastes that Hong Kong represents, and further maintain our position as the mecca of fine dining with eight Michelin stars under one roof.”

The hotel will remain open throughout the renovation period.
