'Go Deep Blue' at The Standard Huruvalhi Maldives

Exploring the ocean around Hanifaru Bay in the Maldives.

A resort in the Maldives has launched a ‘Go Deep Blue’ campaign to celebrate the start of the manta season, alongside a ‘Manta Magic’ stay package with discounts of up to 30%.

The Standard Huruvalhi Maldives is just 35 minutes by boat from the UNESCO biosphere reserve of Hanifaru Bay. Guests at the resort will be able to swim alongside the mighty mantas as part of the resort’s manta snorkelling excursions. Further explorations of the big blue include deep dives, turtle expeditions and sunset dolphin cruises. PADI-qualified dive masters are on hand to offer dive instruction.

And in May, local Maldivian artist Saaidh Badheeu will be visiting the resort to lead a schedule of workshops and classes in acrylic painting inspired by the Maldives’ underwater world.

The Standard Huruvalhi Maldives has also teamed up with Maldivian brand Mula Maldives to offer its all-natural range of reef-friendly sun care products in the resort boutique.

The Manta Magic package is available on stays from May 1 to November 30 and includes up to 30% off the best available rate, free use of snorkelling equipment, a daily 30 minute kayak or paddle board rental, complimentary use of all gym and sports facilities, free use of tennis and beach volleyball courts and access to scheduled group yoga and wellness classes. More information can be found online.
