Release details and a promotional trailer have finally been revealed for the eagerly-anticipated third series of the HBO hit, The White Lotus, which this time heads to Thailand.

The award-winning show launches on February 17 and this season the drama takes place in Southeast Asia.

The eight-episode third season of the murder mystery series is set at an exclusive Thai resort (the rumours are that filming took place at Four Seasons Koh Samui). And as with the previous two series, it follows the exploits of cashed up guests and resort employees over the course of a week.

The first series of The White Lotus debuted in July 2021 and was an instant hit. It was set in Hawaii while series two, which came out in December 2022, was located on the Italian island of Sicily. Both were filmed in super-glamorous Four Seasons resorts. And in both series a dead body acted as a teaser in the opening moments before the drama moved back in time to the week leading up to the mysterious deaths.

In this latest series, Jason Isaacs stars as a wealthy businessman holidaying with his wife and three children in Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, Natasha Rothwell is believed to be the only returning character; sadly the larger-than-life Tanya McQuoid, played by the fabulous Jennifer Coolidge, was killed off in series two.

Fans in Hong Kong, Singapore and Southeast Asia can catch this latest installment which debuts on streaming service Max from Feburary 17.
