HK Express has announced this week that it will be resuming direct flights between Hong Kong and Cam Ranh in Vietnam.

Cam Ranh is a popular holiday hotspot on Vietnam’s central coast due to its proximity to the seaside haven of Nha Trang and the cancelling of the route two years ago caused disappointment amongst Hong Kong holidaymakers.

But from April 3, the budget airline says it will operate four flights a week to Cam Ranh International Airport. HK Express will be the only airline offering a direct flight between the two cities.

The service takes just over two hours and will depart Hong Kong at 6.50pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, arriving in Cam Ranh at 8.10pm on the same day. The return flights leave Cam Ranh at 8.55pm also on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, touching down in Hong Kong at 12.20am the following day.

Nha Trang is renowned for its crystal clear waters, sandy beaches and luxury resorts and hotels. The city is also rich in history; visitors can enjoy trips to the ancient Po Nagar Cham Towers and the Long Son Pagoda. There are local markets to enjoy and great local cuisine.

To celebrate the relaunch of the Cam Ranh route, HK Express is introducing a limited time offer for four Vietnamese destinations, including Nha Trang, Hanoi, Da Nang and Phu Quoc with fares as low as HK$50 one-way for trips between April 3 and October 25. Online bookings can be made from 11am on January 23 until 11.45pm on January 26.
