Vietnam is one of the most popular holiday destinations from Hong Kong and with good reason. The country is blessed with plenty of sunshine, gorgeous beaches and, whatsmore, it’s just a couple of hours flight from Hong Kong.

Along with its existing routes to Hanoi and Danang, HK Express will be adding Phu Quoc to its schedule from December 6.

The flight time is around three hours and, another bonus for holidaymakers, Phu Quoc is currently the only visa-free region in Vietnam for foreigners when flying in direct from overseas.

Flights will run daily, with UO568 taking off from Hong Kong at 4.05pm and landing in Phu Quoc at 5.55pm. The return flight, UO569, leaves Phu Quoc at 6.35pm and lands back in Hong Kong at 10.25pm.

Phu Quoc Island, also known as ‘Pearl Island’ for its pearl production, is renowned for its golden sands, coral-rich crystal waters and lush landscapes. From diving and exploring the island’s national parks, to water sports and relaxing on the palm-fringed beaches, Phu Quoc is favourite destination for many. Plus the island is welcoming an increasing number of upscale resorts, restaurants and entertainment options.
