The AIA Carnival is back at Central Harbourfront until February 16

Hong Kong’s AIA Carnival celebrates ten years this month with thrilling new rides and fun experiences.

The popular annual event launched this week at Central Harbourfront and will be open daily until February 16, 2025.

To celebrate the tenth birthday, AIA Carnival is hosting its biggest event yet, with many returning rides as well as new attractions. More than 28 rides have been imported from Europe alongside booth games and a food and beverage ‘village’ with 19 food stalls.

New attractions include the Blue Girl Dai Pai Dong with bars and ticketed live entertainment in a custom-made dai pai dong setting. Enjoy dance and electro music, Canto disco, stand-up comedy and bar takeovers.

New rides include Vertical Limited, a ride-if-you-dare 35.8 metre structure that propels thrill-seekers into the air over the harbourfront. There’s also a brand new three-storey Fun House.

And don’t miss the AIA Carnival 360 Degree Viewing Platform for stunning social media photos.

The AIA Big Top will be home to The World Circus with artists from Gandeys Circus performing four shows a day, bookings are open now and seats are reportedly selling fast. For the final week of the carnival, the Big Top will transform into a live music venue with local and international acts.

Further entertainment includes AIA Workshop initiatives with Christmas crafting sessions, sparkling tea tasting, photography workshops and a Grand Seiko watch showcase.

LEGO is also partnering with the event to bring kids’ LEGO building events to the Community Area with a family LEGO building day on January 4.

And at Ocean Park Panda Land Ocean Park and AIA will present a photo installation celebrating giant pandas An An and Ke Ke who arrived in Hong Kong earlier this year.

The AIA Carnival attracts almost a million visitors each year and has so far made an economic impact of HK$1.8 billion. This year the event is themed as the ‘Season of Love’ with 40,000 tickets donated to charity beneficiaries and toys distributed to children in hospitals.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate. Advance purchase online comes with discounts of $20 per ticket, a 10% discount on token bundles and faster entrance via the Advance Ticket queue.
