Hopewell Mall opens on Queen's Road East this November

Hong Kong is set to welcome a new shopping mall and hotel this winter, starting with the soft opening of Hopewall Mall in November.

The mall, which is located at 183 Queen’s Road East in Hong Kong Island's Wan Chai district, is part of the new Hopewell Cluster and will offer shopping, dining and parking. A hotel, Hopewell Hotel, is slated to open by the end of the year.

Hopewell Mall is billed as Wan Chai’s most significant property development in more than a decade and joins the Hopewell Centre office block, retail spaces 163 QRE and QRE Plaza and serviced apartments GARDENEast, which are all part of the cluster.

Hopewell Centre first opened in 1980 and at 64-storeys was the tallest building in Hong Kong. It became particularly renowned for its revolving restaurant on the 62nd floor.

When it launches later this year, Hopewell Hotel will be one of the largest five-star hotels in Hong Kong. It will offer 1,000 guest rooms and suites, a fitness centre with pool and a number of dining spaces, including Yue Wo Heen contemporary Cantonese restaurant and H Kitchen with international and family-friendly menus.

The mall will offer dining, fashion, beauty and local independent brands as well as a family zone and play areas. Japanese interiors retailer Nitori will be opening a flagship store at Hopewell Mall and Toys R Us will also have a space.

The new mall covers 60,000 ft and will effectively connect Kennedy Road, Star Street, Moon Street, Sun Street and Queen’s Road East and is a short, three-minute stroll from Wan Chai MTR station. Four hundred parking lots and electric vehicle charging stations will also be available.
