HoteLux members have access to offers at hotels worldwide, like Bulgari Resort Bali.
HoteLux, a members-only luxury hotel reservations app, has launched in Hong Kong. For an annual fee, members get exclusive access to special offers, upgrades, flash sales, hotel credits and loyalty points at more than 4,000 hotels across the globe.
The roll-call of luxury hotel brands that have signed up so far includes Ritz-Carlton, St Regis, Park Hyatt, Rosewood, Four Seasons, Capella, Waldorf Astoria, Mandarin Oriental, Raffles, Peninsula Hotels, Aman, Six Senses and Banyan Tree.
The app is available on IOS and Android and under a three-year agreement with Mastercard, Mastercard, World and World Elite Mastercard holders in the Asia Pacific region are also eligible to receive complimentary Elite or Elite Plus HoteLux membership.
The app introduces the user to best available rates and perks and any bookings made are paid for on check-out, allowing the user to make fuss-free changes to the booking. Members also have access to a live chat customer service. Members of existing loyalty programmes, such as Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors and World of Hyatt, can earn double points, both under the hotel's programme and HoteLux.
There are more concierge services in the pipeline, including booking services for limousines, restaurants and tailored travel experiences.
HoteLux launched in Singapore in early 2021, initially aimed at the staycation market, and was rolled out in Japan and Thailand in 2022. It has so far notched up around 100,000 members and is available in English, Japanese, Thai and traditional Chinese language options.
“We’re creating a new trend in luxury travel via app, now that lifestyle habits have changed and everyone is doing a lot more mobile on-the-go,” said HoteLux co-founder Yihao Shi.
