Relax in Koh Samui this summer.
Hong Kong holidaymakers will be pleased to learn that direct flights to Koh Samui are finally set to resume this summer.
After a three-year hiatus, Bangkok Airways has announced it will be reinstating its direct Hong Kong service on July 1, nicely timed for the summer holidays. There will be three return services a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Pre-pandemic, flights from Hong Kong to the Thai sunshine island operated twice daily. The flight time is three hours.
To celebrate the return of Hong Kong flights, luxury private villa Suralai is offering Hong Kongers a special stay rate plus access to its new catamaran. The six-bedroom villa is available for US$1,000 per night and the offer also includes one complimentary half-day sailing trip on board the 44ft catamaran.
The hilltop villa can sleep up to 12 guests and amenities include a pool with Thai-style sala (pictured above) and ocean views out to Koh Phangan. The villa comes fully staffed, including a private chef, and is located a fifteen minute drive from the night markets at Fisherman’s Village and a similar distance from Bophut, Big Buddha and Chaweng.
Bangkok Airways flights between Hong Kong and Koh Samui are now open for bookings. Villa bookings can be made online.
