The oceanfront hotel will feature a lagoon pool and children's club.
A brand new family hotel, Le Meridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort, is set to open on the golden shores of Phuket’s Mai Khao beach this autumn.
The resort is a refurbishment of an existing hotel and exciting plans include a brand new lagoon pool, children’s fun pool and kids’ club. Further amenities will run to a Mediterranean restaurant known as Ocean Kitchen and The Nook, a casual cafe.
The resort is expected to offer 244 upgraded guest rooms and suites, ranging from 40 to 110 sqm and all with a balcony or terrace with garden, pool or sea views. The resort will also be introducing brand new pool access rooms, private cabana rooms, two-bedroom suites and private pool suites.
The project is being spearheaded by Narai Hospitality Group under a franchise agreement with Marriott International. Along with hotel upgrades, Narai will also be investing in enough solar panels to generate the resort’s own electricity, reducing CO2 emissions by 370 tons.
“Our reimagined resort will provide the ideal option for families and friends,” said Khun Nithida Nithivasin of Narai Hospitality Group.
The resort will be set along the shores of the 13km Mai Khao Beach in the north of Phuket and just 15 minutes drive from the international airport.
While Le Meridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach will be offering plenty of outdoor activities, away from the hotel there are dive and snorkel opportunities with local boat companies offering trips to Similan and Surin islands, Phang-Nga Bay and Phi Phi Leh among others.
Le Meridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach is currently slated to open in September. Reservations are now open.
