As 2024 comes to a close, we look ahead to some of the most anticipated regional hotel openings in 2025
Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, Singapore
Treehouse living in Singapore
Set within the 126 hectare Mandai Wildlife Reserve in northern Singapore, this resort has been designed as integrated nature and wildlife destination. The 338-key resort blends with its surroundings with rooms overlooking the Upper Seletar Reservoir or lush greenery. Accommodation options include rooms in the main building and treehouse suites. Facilities include a rooftop pool and gym along with wellness experiences at the signature spa.
Anticipated opening date: First half of 2025
Four Seasons Resort & Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay, Saudi Arabia
Triple Bay on the Red Sea is looking to become a global wellness destination
Triple Bay in Saudi Arabia looks set to be the world’s next wellness destination and this new property wows with an organic spa garden, an outdoor workout menu that takes place over the resort's 300 hectares of hills, wadis and beaches, personalised wellness itineraries and a sleep concierge. Activities include guided hikes, mountain biking, horse riding trails and teeing off on the 27-hole ocean front golf course. In terms of accommodation, the resort offers 220 rooms and suites as well as villas with private pools and 26 branded residential villas. Further facilities include six dining spaces, a Kids For All Seasons programme and a Discovery Centre exploring the local environment.

Waldorf Astoria Shanghai Qiantan
Shanghai is one of the few cities in the world to have two Waldorf Astoria hotels
This will be Shanghai’s second Waldorf Astoria hotel. The new property will be located in Shanghai’s new central business district, the New Bund area, with views over the Huangpu river. Not much information has been released but the property will face the existing Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund and its opening will make Shanghai one of the few cities globally to boast multiple Waldorf Astoria hotels.

Waldorf Astoria Osaka, Japan
Waldorf Astoria debuts in Japan in 2025
Hilton will also be launching a Waldorf Astoria property in Japan with the opening of Waldorf Astoria Osaka. This will be the first ever Waldorf Astoria property in Japan. The hotel will occupy 12 stories of a 29-storey building in the new Grand Green Osaka urban mixed-use development to the south of the city. The property will offer 252 guest rooms plus dining spaces, indoor pool, wellness and fitness centres.

Capella Nanjing, China
Capella's manicured gardens feature a 300-year-old gingko tree
Capella Nanjing will be Capella Hotel and Resorts’ third property to open in China. The hotel is designed by British architect David Chipperfield and aims to offer an “oasis of tranquility, peace and serenity” in the midst of the city. It is located at the centre of the city’s cultural district off Changjiang Road and walking distance from the Presidential Palace, Mei Garden Memorial and Oriental Metropolitan Museum. The hotel will have 190 rooms, heritage suites and villas and landscaped gardens featuring a 360-year-old gingko tree. There will also be a spa, fitness centre and a semi-outdoor rooftop pool deck.

Capella at Galaxy Macau, Macau
Villas will feature karaoke rooms and cocktail bar
Galaxy Entertainment Group has partnered with Capella Hotels and Resorts to open a Capella property at the ever-expanding Galaxy Resort in Macau. The new property will offer 36 Sky Villas and 57 suites over 17 storeys, each with a balcony with infinity-edge pool, sunroom and hidden winter garden. The super-luxe villas will also include a butler pantry, karaoke room with cigar butler and premium collection, private cocktail bar and games room. Capella’s signature living room amenity, Pony & Plume, will house a members only lounge and invitation-only terrace. Capella is also collaborating with award-winning Hong Kong chef Vicky Cheng on a fine-dining space.

Six Senses The Forestias
Six Senses is opening a hotel and private residences near Bangkok
Embrace forest living just outside of Bangkok at Six Senses The Forestias, part of The Forestias residential community. Six Senses The Forestias includes a 60-room hotel and 27 residences set around a woodland lagoon. Facilities for both hotel guests and residents includes Six Senses Place, the first Six Senses members club in Asia, featuring a central bar and lounge, co-working spaces, a restaurant and wellness and treatment rooms. The Forestias leisure amenities are linked to the Six Senses properties via a treetop canopy walk through the central forest.

St Regis Shenzhen Bao’an, China
St Regis Shenzhen Bao'an is the second St Regis property to oopen in Shenzhen
St Regis Shenzhen Bao’an is located in the lively Bao’an District of Shenzhen and around 25 minutes from Shenzhen Airport and Futian railway station. The high-end property will offer 289 rooms and suites with views over the city skyline and Shenzhen Bay. Four dining spaces include Yan Ting for Cantonese cuisine, The St Regis Bar for cocktails from the House of Astor, The Drawing Room for the brand’s famous afternoon tea and the St Regis Astor Terrace Bar for sunset drinks.
Anticipated opening date: Quarter 1 of 2025.
