An artist's impression of the new-look villas
A Maldives resort is undergoing a major renovation and rebranding.
Reethi Beach Resort is to become NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort following an extensive refurbishment.
The property is located in Baa Atoll and a half-hour seaplane flight from the international airport in Male. The vibrant atoll is home to whale sharks, manta rays and turtles.
Reethis Beach Resort will remain open until next spring when it will close for six months. The work will include upgrades to the villas, restaurants and leisure facilities.
Once completed, NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort will offer onland and overwater villas, ten dining spots, a spa, a fitness centre, a resort pool, tennis, badminton and squash courts and a diverse range of watersports.
The NH Collection is owned by hospitality group Minor Hotels and this will be the group’s ninth resort in the Maldives. Sister properties in the Baa Atoll include Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas and Avani+ Maldives Fares Resort. Another NH Collection resort, NH Collection Maldives Havodda Resort opened in Ghaafu Dhaalu Atoll in 2023. NH Maldives Kuda Rah opened last month.
The refreshed property is slated to open in late 2025.
