Enjoy exclusive hospitality benefits this summer as Plaza Premium partners with HSBC.
Airport hospitality specialist, Plaza Premium Group, has announced it will be partnering with HSBC banking group to launch a travel rewards programme in Hong Kong.
It’s the first travel rewards partnership of its kind in the territory and means HSBC credit card customers will be able to access Smart Traveller, Plaza Premium Group's app-based global membership programme, to enjoy a raft of exclusive airport hospitality benefits.
Under the partnership, HSBC cardholders will be able to convert their RewardCash into Smart Traveller’s Arrture Points to redeem rewards including Plaza Premium lounge access, Plaza Premium First upgrades, buggy-to-gate services and hotel services in key travel destinations.
All rewards are available through the Smart Traveller app which will also host an exclusive HSBC marketplace where cardholders can also redeem curated travel experiences at discounts of up to 70%.
Card customers can take advantage of these offers using Arrture Points converted from RewardCash at an exchange rate of $1RC to five Arrture points. And from July 1 to August 31, there will be a preferential conversion rate of $1RC to 10 Arrture points. During this period, Plaza Premium First airport lounges can be accessed for $100RC and ALLWAYS electric buggies can be chartered for $160RC.
HSBC launched its EveryMile card in 2021, opening up a network of 16 frequent flyer and hotel loyalty programmes to its customers and says it is pleased to now be building on this foundation.
“Since the launch of the HSBC EveryMile card two years ago, our credit card customers redeemed RewardCash for air miles two times more year-on-year in the first quarter of this year,” said Amy Kam, head of Cards and Personal Lending at HSBC. “We are now excited to pioneer the partnership with Plaza Premium Group Smart Traveller Programme, which builds on our solid partnership network and opens up a new case of RewardCash - redeeming an array of travel experiences and benefits.”
“Travellers can choose from a range of airport hospitality services, whether they’re travelling with kids, friends, family or work, including buggy services to your gate, a lounge entry, a shower, a place to nap or work, or even a cocktail, during airport dwell time. We hope this strategic partnership will make travel better for all HSBC cardholders,” said Jenny Zhang, Plaza Premium Group’s regional general manager for North Asia.
