Accor's Simon McGrath with Qantas' Olivia Wirth at the launch of the new partnership.
Qantas and Accor will be partnering from next year with a first-of-its-kind loyalty programme.
The programme is scheduled to launch in mid-2021 in the Asia Pacific region and will enable members of both Qantas' frequent flyer programme and Accor’s Live Limitless programmes to earn points simultaneously.
There will be more opportunities for members to redeem points as well as a suite of exclusive benefits for top-tier members.
The partnership will apply to all Accor hotel stays in Asia Pacific and across Qantas’ domestic and international flights.
“Although our members haven’t been flying much lately due to border closures, we know there is huge pent up demand and we’ve been looking at how we provide even more value when their travel resumes, whether that’s for business or leisure,” said Qantas Loyalty chief executive officer Olivia Wirth. “From next year, eligible members of Qantas’ and Accor’s loyalty programmes will earn twice when they fly or stay with the two brands. This is an entirely new way to recognise the loyalty of our frequent flyers which we know will be very popular.”
According to Accor Pacific chief executive officer Simon McGrath, the partnership is a “major milestone for the travel industry”. Accor manages and owns more than 1,240 hotels, apartments and resorts in the Asia Pacific region.
From now, Qantas Frequent Flyers can convert their ALL - Accor Live Limitless Rewards points to Qantas points at the rate of one ALL - Accor Live Limitless point per one Qantas point.
Members of each loyalty programme will receive further details about the partnership next year.
