Sunny days in Seoul; an executive suite at The Ambassador.
The doors of the historic hotel, The Ambassador Seoul - A Pullman Hotel, reopens today, following an 18-month renovation.
The heritage hotel originally opened in 1955 as ‘Geumsujang’ and has relaunched in partnership with global hospitality group Accor. Renovation highlights include six refurbished dining spaces and bars, including The King’s, which originally opened as the first hotel buffet in Korea in 1975, and ‘1955 Groceria’, a gourmet grocery dining concept. Afternoon tea and cocktails can be enjoyed at The Lounge & Bar on the first floor, while Hao Bin serves Cantonese dishes. The 269 rooms and 49 suites now boast a ‘modern Korean’ style, with inspiration taken from the four seasons of Namsan (Mount Namsan, or ‘South Mountain’, is a peak in the Jung-gu district of central Seoul).
The refurbished heritage hotel has reopened in Seoul.
Facilities at the smart, family-friendly property run to a pool on the fourth floor and a comprehensive wellness centre spread across two floors, boasting saunas, a yoga and pilates studio and an indoor golf driving range. Personal trainers are available and there’s also a dedicated Kids’ Room to keep littlies busy.
The Ambassador Seoul - A Pullman Hotel is located in the heart of Seoul with easy access to city hall, central business districts and Gangnam and is around an hour-and-a-half from Incheon International Airport.
An indoor pool is part of the two-floor wellness centre.
“Since we first opened the hotel under the name of ‘Geumsujang’ in 1955, we have provided sincere service to local and international guests with the utmost care and dedication,” said Jung-ho Suh, chairman of Ambassador Hotel Group. “We are pleased to reopen the hotel in partnership with Accor and we are confident our hotel partner’s expertise… will help strengthen the guests’ satisfaction and engagement.”
To celebrate its reopening, The Ambassador Seoul - A Pullman Hotel is offering 'Yours Always Opening Package' including a one-night stay and a British perfumery Penhaligon's gift set. The offer is available until February 28 and prices start at KRW270,400. Bookings can be made online.
