Shake Shack will be opening the doors on its first outlet on Lantau Island and its seventh space in Hong Kong this month.
Shake Shack at Citygate outlets in Tung Chung launches at 12pm on May 9 and the first 100 in line will receive an exclusive Citygate Shack tote bag and tee-shirt.
The 4,000sqft space offers indoor and outdoor seating as well as an exclusive menu with a few new dishes. The limited-time only Avocado Bacon Menu is available until May 15 and includes two brand new burgers, the Avocado Bacon Burger and the Avocado Bacon Chicken.
There will also be an exclusive new concrete (a dense, frozen custard for the uninitiated); the ‘Tung Chung Pop Trail’ features vanilla frozen custard blended with salted caramel sauce, peanut butter and Shan Shau Jok peanut brittle topped with caramel popcorn. Five percent of sales from the Tung Chung Pop Trail will be donated to InspiringHK Sports Foundation, a non-profit organisation that provides sports training opportunities for underprivileged children and young people with special educational needs.
Citygate Shake Shack will also be hosting an inaugural 'Stand For Something Good' charity day on May 7 before its official launch day. All of the day's proceeds will also be donated to InspiringHK Sports Foundation.
The new venue has partnered with local artist Bo Law to create a permanent ‘in-shack’ mural. The artwork is inspired by the surrounding natural landscape of Tung Chung.
