The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel has opened on Hong Kong Island's Southside.
With quarantine still in place an overseas holiday might be off the cards for Hong Kong families. However, there's now an exciting new staycation option with the soft-opening of Hong Kong’s eagerly-anticipated first-ever Fullerton property.
The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong soft-launched on Monday July 18 in Hong Kong Island’s seaside Southside district, overlooking the South China Sea.

Not only is The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong the brand’s first opening in Hong Kong, it is also its first resort worldwide.

The 425-room property boasts a seafront location adjacent to Ocean Park and moments away from the bustling fishing town of Aberdeen and the up-and-coming gallery-strewn neighbourhood of Wong Chuk Hang. It's around a 15-minute drive from Hong Kong’s Central district.

The hotel boasts five dining spaces, including a signature Cantonese fine dining restaurant, the Lighthouse Lounge, Lighthouse Café and Satay Inn. An oceanfront Italian restaurant, Giardino, located on the third floor with al fresco dining is slated to open later in the year.
The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong will also offer wellness retreats with its 24-hour gym, spa and infinity pool with sea views.
Fun for kids
Accommodation at The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong includes plenty of room categories, with a plush Penthouse Pool Suite. There are five themed rooms for kids, including a Mermaid Princess Room, Pirate Paradise Room, Jurassic Submarine Room, Rainbow Unicorn Room and Hong Kong Safari Room.
Families will also be able to enjoy a menu of FUN (Fun, Unique, Neighbourhood and Nature-immersive) programmes. Outdoors there's a dedicated kids’ lagoon and if you're looking to beat the heat, inside is The Explorers, a 6,400ft soft play kids’ zone with designs inspired by Hong Kong landmarks and heritage sites.

The hotel has embraced an environmental build and is the first hotel project in Hong Kong and mainland China to receive WELL pre-certification under the WELL Building Standard. Green initiatives include the elimination of single-use plastics, sustainably sourced seafood and an in situ hotel farm.
In a statement the hotel said it would be operating in an "early stage soft opening mode" with an official opening slated for later this year. "We greatly appreciate out guests' patience as well as kind understanding while striving to deliver to our guests' expectations," it said in a statement. During the soft-opening phase, facilities open to guests include the Lighthouse Cafe, Lighthouse Lounge, Jade Chinese Restaurant, Satay Inn, pool, gym and The Explorers Kids' Zone.
Hong Kong’s rival hub, Singapore, already boasts two Fullerton properties; The Fullerton Hotel Singapore which opened in 20021 and The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore which launched in 2010.
