A brand new hotel will be opening its doors in Singapore. The Standard Singapore is currently under development on the city’s Orange Grove Road, opposite the Shangri-La Singapore.

Slated to launch in 2023, The Standard Singapore will offer 143 rooms nearby to the shopping hub of Orchard Road and Singapore’s Botanical Gardens.

The Standard International will be working with boutique real estate investment company Invictus Developments on the project.

“We couldn’t be more excited about this development,” said The Standard International chief executive officer Amar Lalvani. “New hotel licenses (in Singapore) are rare and highly coveted and we feel very fortunate to partner with Invictus to bring this project to life.”

Despite challenging global conditions, The Standard has continued to develop properties throughout Asia. The Standard, Hua Hin is on course to open in November and Asia flagship property The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon will follow in 2022.

The Standard Singapore hotel will include a signature restaurant, an arts and culture programme and an infinity pool set in a botanical courtyard.

The Standard hotels started in 1999 and currently has properties in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, London and the Maldives.
